CCA track team fares well in Georgia

ROME, Ga. — Although injuries continue to pile up, Concordia College Alabama’s track and field team had several high finishes in Saturday’s Shorter University Invitational in Rome, Ga.
Carlos James won the overall javelin throw competition with a distance of 119.11 feet. Yosmani Patterson won his heat in the long jump but settled for fourth place overall. The Hornet guys also finished second in the 4 x 100 meter relay with a total time of 43.68 seconds. The Hornets’ women finished ninth overall in the 4 x 100 meter relay with a total time of 53.58 seconds.
