Grace Faulk Stephens, 97, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014, at home in Heflin, AL. She was born on April 12, 1916, in Selma, AL to John Smith and Anna (Dunklin) Faulk.
Grace grew up, finished high school, and raised her family in Selma, AL. She worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement. Grace was an avid traveler, conservative business woman, and devoted grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Selma.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband William A. (Bill) Stephens; parents John, Sr. and Anna Faulk; brother John, Jr. and wife AnneFaulk; sister Claudia Faulk all of Selma and son-in-law W. Rollan Bennett, of Heflin, AL.
Grace is survived by her daughter Joyce S. (B.J.) Bennett of Heflin,
AL; son and wife William A. (Steve) and Kay Stephens of Deatsville, AL;grandchildren Liz B. McDill of Carrollton, GA, Walter Bennett and wife Connie of Heflin, AL, Bill Bennett of Heflin, AL, Claudia Stephens of Spanish Fort, AL, Carrie S. McCurry and husband Michael of Brentwood, TN; great-grandchildren Reid McDill, Anna M. Dorsey, Alex Bennett, Rives Lee, Jackson Lee, Will Thomas McCurry, Mary Ballis McCurry, John Norris McCurry; and her sister Annabel F. Ricks of Denver, CO.
A memorial service will be held graveside at the New Live OakCemetery in Selma, AL at 2:00 on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Family and friends are invited to attend.
