Dear editor,

There was rejoicing in the pool at the YMCA this afternoon.  You see, Dallas County High School won the state championship in Basketball for their league.  William Lee, the game MVP, was once a lifeguard at the Y.  My husband and I swim laps.

When we left home, DCHS was behind by 5.  After about 10 minutes of laps, I asked him wonder what happened and he told me the two lifeguards there had just heard that Dallas County won in the last 5 seconds of the game!

We were so pleased.  Being members in the Y is like being part of a big family.  Having many friends and a son who graduated from DCHS is like family, too.

We celebrate with their victory!  Congratulations to all the team and the coaching staff, also.
