Morgan Academy fell to Kingwood 29-26 Monday in the third place game of the Class AAA, Region 2 basketball tournament.

Kingwood’s Christopher Brown hit a three-pointer at the end of the game to win it for the Lions. Kingwood slowed the pace, making each possession more important and stopping the Senators from playing their typical up-tempo pace, but Morgan stayed in the game throughout. Ford Manderson led the Senators with 19 points.

Morgan will play Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Huntingdon College in the AISA Elite Eight.
