Following last week’s 84-6 loss to Abilene Christian, who was playing its first game as a Division I team, Concordia College Alabama had high hopes about this week’s matchup with Stillman.
Not only was last season’s game close with Stillman winning 28-26, but the Tigers are also a fairer-sized opponent for the Hornets.
Unfortunately for Concordia, things didn’t get any better Saturday night as Stillman dominated in a 52-0 victory.
The Hornets were outgained 538 yards to 105 in the game.
Concordia quarterback Cameron Mayfield was 6 of 13 passing for 40 yards and two interceptions.
Concordia’s next game is at Miles College on Sept. 21.
Sept. 14 the Hornets junior varsity team is playing a home game at Bloch Park against Atlanta Sports Academy.
