Wellesley Calvert Owen, 19, a resident of Prattville, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.

from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial with Dr. Travis Coleman and Reverend Larry Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, AL with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Owen is survived by his loving parents, Bobby and Cristi Owen; one sister, Cafferty Owen; paternal grandparents, Robert and Martha Owen; maternal grandparents, Edwin Sumlin and Patsy C. Yeager; one aunt, Elizabeth LeAnne Owen; extended family and friends. Some of Wellesley’s favorite things he loved to do were playing his guitar, attending Auburn football games, and helping others. He had a great sense of humor. He was a graduate of Chapman Christian Academy, and was a sophomore at Auburn University in Montgomery. He had plans to go to the Aviation Program at Auburn University. Pallbearers will be his close friends. The family will receive friends Friday, August 23, 2013 at Prattville Memorial Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
