Vera Mae Perry, 69, resident of Selma, passed away April 3, 2013 at home. Services are scheduled for April 13, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Morning Star Baptist church officiated by Pastor B.T. Booker. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by father Joseph Perry; mother, Essie Mae Hatcher.

Survivors include son, Fredrick Perry; daughters, Gwendolyn Perry, Traci Perry Stevenson (Donte); brothers, Joe Bryant, Jessie Bryant, Clyde Bryant; sisters, Edna Bryant, Thelma Hasan, Jerrie Dean Wright, Gail Simmons, and Johnetta Bryant; seven grandchildren, one son-in-law, six nieces, and eight nephews.
