Barbara Ruth Dobbs Godwin Green was born in Sylacauga, Alabama on March 23, 1949. She graduated from Dallas County High School. She passed away on March 18, 2013.

She was preceded by mother, Edna Ruth Thornton Dobbs and brother-in-law, Richard Hileman.

Mrs. Green is survived by her beloved husband: Julius C. Green; father: John Dobbs; daughters: Angie Cochran (David Meadows), Loretta (Craig) Stevens, Kayla Allday, Heather Green, Kris Cuesta; son: Mike Green; sisters: Jean (Jimmy) Akins, Betty Hileman, Edna (Norman) McDonald; brothers: Larry (Regina) Dobbs, Raymond (Faye) Dobbs, Jimmy Dobbs; 8 beloved grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 20, 2013 at the chapel of Lawrence Brown Service Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Fancher officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
