Mr. Essie Clay Jr., resident of Selma, passed away January 3, 2013 in Selma. Services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Willie Johnson. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include parents, Earlene (Clanton) Smith; three daughters, Lakeshia Lewis, Lashanda (Marco) Watson, and Lyncia Clay; brother, Lee Arthur Clay; two sisters, Mary J. Owens and Essie Lee Clay; grandchildren, Rashaun, Jevante, Dakeem, Aalaya, Marco II; great grandchild, Ranecia; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; special friend, David “Flop” Connor.
