Richard “Rick” Reynolds Day

Richard “Rick” Reynolds Day died at his home. Rick was the son of Annie Reynolds Day and Hudson Smith Day. Born April 18, 1951 in Salem, Massachusetts, he graduated from Marblehead High School, Marblehead, Massachusetts in 1969 and later attended The University of Alabama. Although not gregarious, he was a kind person and spent countless hours helping his parents when they were ill. He loved sports, especially the Crimson Tide and Atlanta Braves baseball.

Rick is survived by his brothers, William Hudson Day and wife, Susan and Laurence Douglas Day and wife, Magdalena. Additional survivors include two nieces, two nephews, several great-nieces and a great-nephew and cousins including Clifford P. Morrison and Nancy Reynolds Bennett of Selma.

There will be an interment service at New Live Oak Cemetery for Rick and his mother on Saturday, January 12 at 10:00 a.m. Following the service a reception will be held in the Parish Hall at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, 210 Lauderdale St.36702.
