The program, which is free, places a yellow dot in the rear window of a vehicle alerting first responders to vital information stored in a yellow envelope located in the glove compartment. This will ensure citizens receive the medical attention they need if they are involved in a crash.

The program to Selma was a team effort between first responders, Evelyn Cox and the RSVP program among others. Program coordinator Lora Weaver of the Northeast Alabama Traffic Safety Office said the program will allow those who participate to communicate with first responders if they are involved in a crash.

The yellow dots can be placed on as many vehicles as a person wants and can even be used for people who are frequent passengers.
