The amnesty program will run from Feb. 1 to Feb. 29 and anyone who wishes to take advantage of the extension can do so by paying fines at the Municipal Court Magistrate’s Office, 1300 Alabama Ave. between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

If violators can’t pay the full amount, payment plans will be set up.

Upon payment, warrants will be cancelled and the offender will not go to jail.

More serious offenses are not included in the program. Those who have reckless driving and driving under the influence offenses will still have to appear in court. However, a new court date can be set by the Magistrate.
