Dear editor,

On behalf of the Civitan Club of Selma and the Distinguished Young Women of Dallas County Committee and support team, I want to thank you and the Selma Times-Journal for the excellent coverage that the DYWDC program received this year.

This program offers the young women who participate the opportunity t grow in self-confidence, self-expression and interpersonal relationships, as well as win scholarship money. Your coverage helped get the program presented to young women who might have otherwise not gotten the word as well as helping in our fundraising campaign by presenting the program to the public (potential sponsors) in a very positive and informative way.

We consider this year’s program a success and Selma Times-Journal coverage and reporting had a big part to play in that success. We would like to particularly thank Desiree Taylor and Tim Reeves for their outstanding cooperation and dedicated work.
