Maxie Wade, Sr. (1959-2011), departed for his heavenly home Sunday, September 11, 2011 at UAB Hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services for Maxie Wade, SR. will be held Saturday, September 17 at Selma Avenue Church of Christ in Selma, Alabama, 1:00 p.m. with Bro. William Jack Beaman officiating the service. Services will be directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

He leaves to mourn a devoted wife, Shirley Ceary Wade; son, Maxie Wade, Jr. (Deborah); grandson, Titus Wade; four sisters, four brothers, six sisters-in-laws, three brothers-in-laws, a host of nieces and nephews.
