Eugene Blake Williamson, age 89, of Orrville, AL, passed away August 11, 2010. Born in Bankston, AL, he was a member of the U.S. Navy during World War II. Married in 1945, shortly before he moved to Orrville, AL, where he lived the remainder of his life in the Molett’s Bend Community and served as postmaster of Orrville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Vere Williamson; sisters, Pauline Coleman, Cleva Reynolds, Gert Burks and Majel Waters; brothers, Curt and Dan Williamson.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, June Williamson; sisters, Opal Lee McCaleb and Wilahweete Hise; son, Larry (Judy) Williamson; granddaughter, Juanita (Jeremy)

Barrett; grandson, Sylvester Williamson; great-granddaughters, Reagan and Madison Barrett; brother-in- law, Jimmy (Maxine) Wampler; sister-in-law, Frances Williamson; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors.

Graveside services will Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Cambridge Christian Church Cemetery at Five Points in Orrville at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeremy Barrett officiating and

Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Orrville Methodist Church, Cambridge Christian Church, Orrville Baptist Church, Orrville Volunteer Fire Department, or River Oaks Volunteer Fire Department.
