Check your Facebook account

Tired of changing your privacy settings on Facebook? So is everyone else.

If you haven’t noticed, on Wednesday Facebook had a glitch that gave users access to private information in the accounts of their friends — private things like chat conversations.

TechCrunch reported the gaffe first on Wednesday. Steve O’Hear of TechCrunch said a privacy feature had a flaw that allowed others to view private information if they knew how to exploit the flaw.

Several hours later, Facebook’s people responded saying the limited period of time that was so and the fix is done.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation, a watchdog group, has said, “What you don’t want the world to know about, don’t put it on Facebook.”
