Mamie Smith, age 77, resident of Selma, AL. passed away on March 4, 2010 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services are Thursday, March 11, 2010, 11:00 a.m., Viewing will be 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m., at Morning Star Baptist Church officiated by Rev. B.T. Booker. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by parents Clifton and Hattie Pettway Smith. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: Three daughters, Addie Delois Smith-Johnson, Lillie Jean SmithHooper and Sandra Lorraine
Smith-Sims ( Roger); two grandchildren, Di’Quann and Quai’ Sims, all of Houston, Texas; one brother, William Smith and one sister, Rosetta Smith of Selma; one nephew, Roosevelt Coleman, St. Petersburg, Florida; one niece, Jeanette (Fred) Smith,and one great niece, Angela Smith, all of Brooklyn, New York and a host of relatives and friends.
