Interesting that a cemetery could remain one of the best tourist attractions in Selma for years.

But the Old Live Oak cemetery has something to offer almost any history buff — a former vice president and founder of Selma, the sisters of Mary Todd Lincoln, the first black congressman from Alabama, beautiful oaks and magnolias draped in Spanish moss.

Of course that’s a lot to keep up with. The folks over in the cemetery department know the demands and have the abilities to keep the cemetery in tip-top shape.
