Emanuel Courtland, 97, of Park Place, died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Park Place Nursing Home. Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 1:00pm at John the Baptist officiated by Rev. Curtis Williams. Burial will follow in Pettaway/Courtland Family Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.
Survivors include five sons, Cornelious (deceased) Oneal, Willie James, Samson, Emanuel Courtland Jr. and two stepsons, Freddie and Kelvin Hatcher; five daughters, Laura Wright, Reneva Satter White, Lula Pettaway, Alma Courtland, Heneretta Brantley, and two step-daughters, Ruth Stott and Debra Hatcher; one sister, Mary Courtland; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
