Richard Hardy, 78, of Tyler, Alabama, died Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Warren Manor. Services are scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 1:00pm at New Mount Mariah Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Lee Green. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service. Survivors include his wife, Carrie Hardy; four sons, Richard Hardy, Jr., Curtis Hardy, William Hardy, and Leroy Walker; one stepson, Edward Hardy; four daughters, Earnestine Hardy Searight, Mary Hardy, Annie Gordon, and Barbara Nell Towns; four step daughters, Malinda, Teresa, Debra, and Mi-chelle Hardy; two sisters, Sadie Mae Hardy and Mildrid Edwards (Hesikiah); forty-two grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law; four brothers-in- law; four sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.
