Sarah Kathryn Barlow, 96, a resident of Camden, AL, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Graveside services will be held Friday, January 9, 2009, at 2:00 pm at Palmer Cemetery in Furman, AL, with Rev. Willie Crawford officiating and Dunklin &Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Barlow was preceded in death by parents, John Daniel and Mary Robbins; husband, Robert Barlow, Sr. and brothers, Ed Robbins and John Robbins. Mrs. Barlow is survived by sons, Dr. Robert L. Bar-low, Jr. of Matthews, AL, Dan R. (Betty) Barlow of Grove Hill, AL, Kenneth W. (Sue) Barlow of Camden, AL; grandchildren, Mary Penn Barlow Lavallee, Sarah Kathryn Barlow Pounds, Bob Barlow, James O. Barlow, Dan R. Barlow, Jr., Kenneth Barlow, Jr., Dr. Kevin Barlow; great-grandchildren, Matthew R. Pounds, Amanda E. Pounds, Morgan L. Pounds, Kaitlyn Barlow, Robert “Bo” Barlow, Brooke Barlow, Clay Barlow, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Barlow, Kenneth “Trey” Barlow, III; nieces, Becky York and Patty Robbins. Mrs. Barlow was a member of Lt. Joseph M. Wilcox Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution, Alabama Charter #36 United Daughters of Confederacy, Colonial Dames, and longtime member of Bethsaida Baptist Church and current member of Camden Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be her five grandsons and one of her great-grandsons.
