Abraham “Lewis” Washington, Sr., 84, of Dallas County died Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Vaughn Hospital.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 13th at College Hill A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. Kornegay officiating. Burial will follow in College Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Washington; parents, James &Leah Washington.
Survivors include four sons, Abraham Washington, Jr. (Mildred), Clarence Washington, Alvin Washington (Mabeline), and Donald Washington (Deborah); five daughters, Shirley Washington, Deborah Brown (Willie), Era Hollingquest (Willie), Angela Washington, and Doris Washington; a brother, Raymond Washington (Mary); two sister-in-laws, Minnie Patterson and Irene Washington. Other relatives include, eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
