Teresa Prevo brought her four children for them to participate in the celebration&8217;s activities and meet community members who share their beliefs. Prevo thought the message and the music was good.

Staci Young, who lives in Selma, said she was walking through an area of downtown when a woman told her about the Jesus Day celebration. Young was familiar with the March for Jesus, the predecessor to Jesus Day.

Others were also optimistic about the message the event sent to the community.
