JAMES LUSK CASH III

James Lusk Cash, III,

62, died of lengthy illness and courageous battle with Huntington&8217;s Chorea.

A resident of Life Care Center of Greeneville, TN, he was born in Selma,

AL.

James was preceded in death by

the late Dr. James Lusk Cash, Jr. and Mary Eleanor Cash of Selma,

AL.

He graduated from A.G. Parrish High School, Selma, AL -1963, Marion Military Institute, Marion, AL with Associate of Arts Degree – 1966, attended University of Alabama, served 4 years in the US Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller. He graduated from the Federal Aviation Administration Academy (F.A.A.) in Oklahoma City, OK in 1973 and Air Traffic Controller, Pensacola, FL – 1977 A Former Civil War Re-enactor and member of the 19th Tennessee Infantry Regiment.

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, John Edward and wife Susan Cash of Greeneville, TN; sister and brother-in-law Jean Cash Burns and husband Robert of Ralph, AL; plus a special niece, Caryn (Cash) Reppond and her hus-band Joseph of San Antonio, TX; four special nephews, John Edward Cash, Jr and his wife Kelly of Greeneville, TN; Logan Cash of Greeneville, TN; Chad Burns of Tuscaloosa, AL and Bryan Burns of Tuscaloosa, AL;

three great nieces and three great nephews. Survivors also include a special aunt and uncle, Jack and Rosalind Menard, of Indian Harbor Beach, FL, plus several cousins.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM (CST) Monday, March 31, 2008, in the Old Live Oak Cemetery in Selma,

AL with Rev. Ed King officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Saturday afternoon, March 29, 2008 at Rose Hill Funeral Home, Greeneville, TN. Honorary pallbearers will be all employees of Life Care Center of Greeneville, and the nurses and staff of Aspen Wing.

Michael H. Oxford

Michael H. Oxford, 52, of La-Grange, GA died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Hope Home in Atlanta.

Mr. Oxford was born December 7, 1955 in Knoxville, TN.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Mr. Oxford was preceded in death by his father, Garrette M. Oxford, Jr.

Survivors include his children, Stephanie Oxford and Joey Oxford, both of LaGrange; his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Dewey Long of Heber Springs, AR; a sister, Jenny Oldham of Arkansas; grandchildren, Brennan and Braxton Satterwhite, and Braydon Oxford, all of LaGrange; an aunt, Virginia England of Selma,

AL; and his former wife and friend, Cynthia Simmons of LaGrange.

A graveside memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Scott Hannah officiating.

Johnny L. Parker

Johnny L. Parker, 51, of Selma, died Saturday, March 29, 2008,

at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by Miller Funeral Service Inc.

Lucille Smiley Tolbert

Lucille Smiley Tolbert, 72, of Selma, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Selma Avenue

Church of Christ with the Rev. Joseph Davis officiating. Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery.

Parents are Wattie and Carrie Smiley.

Surviving are two sons, Willie James (Felicia) Tolbert of Atlanta, Ga., Edwin (Annetta) Tolbert of Selma, Ala.; four daughters, Barbara (Charles) Travis of Selma, Ala., Merline (Ron) Mitchell of New Jeresey, Sharon

Smiley, Sonja (Phillip) Green of Selma, Ala.; two brothers, Leonard Smiley of Harrisburg, Pa., Howard (Nioma) Smiley of Selma,

Ala.; six sisters, Willie P. King, Hattie Cherry, Deloris Goldsby, Elois Reeves of Selma, Ala., Juanita Stafford of Tallahassee, Fla., and Doris (Leroy) Spencer of Chicago, Ill.; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
