Sheriff’s deputies were simultaneously called to fights at a pair of Dallas County schools Wednesday morning.
Officers were dispatched to Southside High and Keith High Schools shortly after school began. According to Capt. Roy Freine of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, the calls came in around 8:15 a.m., and both fights broke out in the schools’ cafeterias.

“Teachers are so scared to do anything with these kids nowadays they call us,” Freine said. “But I don’t think there’s anything to it.”
Freine said the fights were likely not the result of any type of gang activity. No deadly weapons were involved, and no arrests were made.
