Mr. Claude Melvin Pruet
Mr. Claude Melvin Pruet (Mrs. David Reynolds Pruet Sr.), a native of Selma, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, in Daphne.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.
Mr. Sherman Wayne Looney
Mr. Sherman Wayne Looney, 62, of Selma, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at Pineview Memory Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Henry officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Larry Cooper, Mark Boswell, Bill Compton, Dr. Scott Tynes, Dean Smith, Ken Smith, and Billy Somerville. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Harris, Tom Jackson, Bill Cosby, Tracy Reece, and Dr. Park Chittom, Jr.
Mr. Looney is survived by his brothers, Scotty Lane Looney and William Sam Looney and
numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fullen and Onie Dell Looney, and sister, Shirley Looney Farr.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alabama Children&8217;s Hospital and Foundation, Birmingham, AL , contact number 866-333-9076 or Valley Grande Baptist Church.
Mr. H. Oliver Barganier
Fort Deposit &8212; Mr. H. Oliver Barganier,
85, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan.18, 2008,
from the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Murphy and Bro. Mike Phillips officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral directing.
Interment will follow at Myrtlewood Cemetery in Fort Deposit.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Greenville.
Mr. Barganier was preceded in by his wife Mrs. Audrey Katherine Barganier and sister Mary Philen.
He is survived by his sons, Billy (Joyce) Barganier of Selma, Tommy (Jean) Barganier of Fort Deposit; grandchildren, Michelle (Ricky) Moring of Selma, Melissa (Shep) Chambers of Montgomery,
Bryan (Melanie) Barganier of Helena, Tison Barganier of Birmingham; great-grandchildren, Alston Moring of Selma, McLain Chambers of Montgomery, and Ella Barganier of Helena.

Mr. Edward Thurman, 75, of Selma, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center, Selma.
Services will be noon, Saturday 19, 2008, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Charles Burns officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Brothers Funeral Home Inc.
Mr. Thurman is survived by eight sons, Edward Thurman Jr., Eddie Pettway, Eddie Thurman, Willie Thurman, Gary Thurman, Percy Thurman, Anthony Arnold, Jerome Thurman; three daughters, Gaile Clark, Lawanda White and Darlene Boyd and a sister, Callie Sanders.
