On the defensive side MMI was able to shut down the Eagles top scorer, Jordan Payne, who averaged more than 23 points per game, but finished with 17.

At the half the Tigers were down 39-35, relying mainly on their defense contesting shots. And some inside play from Da’Ron Waters.

While looking for some offensive cohesiveness in the second half, MMI still remained within striking distance with 9:00 left to play and the score 60-55.

However, MCC scored eight straight points to go up by 13 and that deflated the Tigers as they never got closer than 10 points.
