Nan Clare Grantham Young

Nan Clare Grantham Young, age 85, died Sunday, October 09, 2005 in a Birmingham hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2005 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Lee Tate officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Ms. Young is survived by her sons, Dan Eugene (Linda-Kay) Young of Birmingham and James Houston (Christine) Young of Foley, sister, Mary Elizabeth (Glenn) Estess of Mountain Brook, grandchildren, John-Andrew Young of Vestavia Hills, Kristin Dawn Young (Mike) Cage of Crestview, FL, Jennifer Hope Young (Shane) Sweatt of Kennesaw, GA, and Marianna Joy Young of Foley, great-grandchildren, Callie Grace Sweatt and Michael Tate Sweatt of Kennesaw, GA and James Grayson Cage of Crestview, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was retired from Uniontown Public Schools in Perry County as a school teacher. Family visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Bamberg, III, Glenn Estess, Jr., Walton Drake, Ken Moseley, Rickey Moseley, Jimmy Woodfin, Sonny Woodfin, John-Andrew Young, and Buck George. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Uniontown Baptist Church.

Annie M. Hicks, of Selma passed away at her residence Sunday, October 09, 2005.

Graveside Services will be held

at Pineview Cemetery on Tuesday,

October 11, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. With Rev. Tommy Fancher officiating and Selma Funeral Home Directing.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2005 at Selma Funeral Home. Survivors include three sons: Charles C. Hicks of Selma,

Leonard W. (Peggy) Hicks of Selma, James Albert (Ann) Hicks of Selma.

One daughter:

Mary Elizabeth Hicks (John) Nalley of Montevallo, AL.

Eleven Grandchildren and nine Great-grandchildren

In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Summerfield Baptist Church.
