Dallas Ray Boswell

Dallas Ray Boswell, 67, of Selma died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at his home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 31, at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Gardner officiating. Burial will followed at 3 p.m. in Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Greenville, with Selma Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include by his former wife and caregiver of 26 years Sandra Boswell; three sons, Darrick (Tami) Boswell, Mark (Melissa)Boswell and Dale (Ruth) Boswell all of Selma; one daughter, Karen Boswell (Brett) Moore of Selma; three sisters, Annette (Dean) Thompson, Laura (Zurrel) Little both of Greenville and Shirley Leverett of Selma; and three grandchildren, Paige Boswell, Jessie Boswell and Shelby Boswell all of Selma.

He is survived also by his faithful dog, Jill.

Mr. Boswell was preceded in death by his parents, J. L. Boswell and Lillie Mae Boswell and a brother, Edward Boswell.

Active pallbearers will be Gordon Gougler, Clint Leverett, Buddy Alsbrook, Garrett White, Jeff Thompson and Britt Steward.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Taylor, Dennis Boswell, Donnie Harris, Danny Leverett, Jimmy Powell, Vernon Rollins, Eddie Boswell and David Little.

Geneva M. Hayes-Fritts

Geneva M. Hayes-Fritts, 69, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at her home.

Services will be held Sunday, January 2, at Living Church of God. Burial will follow in Little Flannagan Cemetery in Dayton, with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include six sons, Murray, Morris, Sam, Eugene, Joseph and John; two daughters, Martha and Geneva; one sister, Willie Mae Pettway; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one son-in-law; three daughters-in-law; one brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice.

Active pallbearers are sons and nephews, Murray, Morris, Sam, John, Eugene, Joseph, David and Lawrence.

Lewis Pope

Lewis Pope, 62, of Selma, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at a local hospital.

Services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, January 4, at the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Gregory C. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include one brother, John Pope; and one sister, Georgia Mae Dixon.

William David Elliott

William David Elliott, 81, of Demopolis, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. December 31, at Rosemont Cemetery, Uniontown, with the Rev. Don Smith officiating and Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Neladean Elliott of Demopolis; one daughter, Janelle Hannah and her husband Lloyd of Demopolis; a devoted sister-in-law, Shirlyn Sheridan of Selma; three brothers, Ottis Elliott and wife Polly of Cottondale, Olen Elliott of Demopolis and Edward Elliott and wife Beverly of Frostfree, Fla.; two grandchildren, Chad Hannah and wife Megan of Demopolis and Lori Yanez and husband, Larry of Las Vegas, Nev.; two great-grandchildren, Caden Hannah and Kendall Hannah; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Haywood Elliott and Mary Wyatt Elliott, two sisters, Aline Fisher and Eloise Powell.

Active pallbearers are family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Polly Hoggle, Hubert Hoggle, Eddie Kirkham, Buck George, Dr. Ronnie Chu, Dr. Marsh and Southern Care Hospice of Demopolis.

Family visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 927 Hwy.80 West, Demopolis, AL 36732, American Parkinson Disease Assoc. APDA 800 Jeffery Lane, Birmingham, AL 35235; or church or charity of choice.

Mr. Elliott was a native of Hale County and a resident of Demopolis for the past 2 years, former resident of Uniontown, for over 56 years. He was a retired truck driver for Black Belt Dairy after more than 22 years of service. He was a distinguished World War II veteran of the Army where he served in Normandy, Battle of the Bulge, Northern France, Central Europe, Ardennes Rhineland and received several service medals and the Purple Heart. Mr. Elliott was of the Protestant faith.

Nancy Ruth Faulk Twardy

Nancy Ruth Faulk Twardy, 87, formerly of Selma, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, in Birmingham.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 31, Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with Father Carroll Plourde officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her sister, Frances Faulk Guinn, of Panama City, Fla.; her daughters, Bernadette Marie Twardy of St. Augustine, Fla., Nancy Twardy Gavin (Rush) of Jacksons Gap and Susan Frances Twardy, of Birmingham; her son, Joseph Henry Twardy (Claire) of Selma; and two granddaughters, Sara Catherine Twardy and Anna Frances Twardy of Selma.

Mrs. Twardy was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Bernard Twardy; her parents, William Henry Faulk and Estelle Daniel Faulk; and her brother, William Henry Faulk, Jr.

Annie P. Lewis

Annie P. Lewis, 65, of Selma, died Sunday, December 26, 2004, at her home.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 2, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Quindale Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Willie James Lewis; mother, Cora Hall; one son, Robert Lee Lewis; six brothers, Murray Hall (Carlise Robinson), Willie Hall (Linda), James Hall (Dorothy), Charles Hall, John Hall (Kathy Stringer) and Ceasar Hall (Inelle); four sisters, Bessie Newerry, Rosa Lee Streety, Gertrude Hall and Queen Hall; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 14 nephews; 17 nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to a devoted cousin, Bama Bell.

Active pallbearers are nephews.

Flowerbearers are nieces.

Ceaser A. Ford

Ceaser A. Ford, of Selma, died Thursday, December 30, 2004.
