Dear Editor,

To the nurses, aides, and administrative staff of Park Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center:

You should all take great pride in who you are and what you do.

There is no way that you can know how many lives you touch each day.  I believe that God picks very special people to care for the sick and elderly.  It can’t be an easy job and at times may seem thankless.

Yet, you care for these people with compassion, gentleness, and patience that is such a blessing for those in your care and their families.  Louise S. Meigs came to Park Place in 2010 and W. Frank Meigs followed shortly thereafter in 2011.  They lived with you for six years.  You called them “Lulu” and “Papa” as we did.  You became their extended family.  Our family can never thank you enough for your care.  They had the best and we owe it to you all — everyone that touched their lives there at Park Place.
