Joe L. Carter native of Selma passed Sept. 27, 2016, in Mobile.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Autaugaville with the Rev. James Peoples Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Melvin Miller Funeral Service directing.

Viewing will be Friday, October 7 at Gospel Tabernacle COGIC, 2310 Summerfield Road, Selma, Alabama.
