Helen Spears, age 78, of Selma, passed away Sept. 11, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Ray Spears; parents, Floyd and Beulah Caldwell; brother, James Charles Caldwell; and sisters, Willie Marsh, Clora Ward and Mae Lawson.Surviving are her children, Lynn (James) Seale, Bobby (Tricia) Spears and Floyd Spears; sisters, Janie Rimer, Irene Hawkins, Virginia Fields and Linda Sloan; grandchildren, Jennifer Sanders, Brandi Spears, Chelsea Brooks, Shayne Spears, Michelle Spears and Jordan Spears, and great-grandchildren, Whitt Lester, Mary Calyn Lester, Hannah Lester, Meredith Brooks and Henry Brooks.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015. at 4 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Pat Grindle officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30-4 p.m. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Gary Price, Doty Price, Wes Abel, Chris Chappelle, Russell Martin and Jody Ruder.
