Elizabeth Rose Smith Kelley

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Chapman Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Bush officiating. Mrs. Kelly died Monday, July 28, 2014 at The Gardens of Eufaula.

Born August 14, 1929 in Selma Alabama, she was the daughter of the late William Bartley and Mattie Rose Cobb Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Kelly and sisters, Pauline Penick, Josephine Johnston, and Lillian Stanard. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class. Cooking for her family and friends was her greatest joy.

Survivors include daughter, Leitha Kelly Coates( Mike), Eufaula; granddaughter, Amy Coates Brabham (Danny), Eufaula; great grandchildren, Parker Brabham (the sunshine of her life), Joshua Brabham and Jordan Brabham; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful staff at The Gardens of Eufaula, as well as Hope Scroggins (Covenant Hospice), Michelle Massey, Lisa Jernigan, Shadai Upshaw for all the love, care and concern given to “Nanny” while she was at the Gardens.
