Milton Godwin, age 95, of Selma, AL, died March 15, 2014.

He was born September 25, 1918, the son of Adele and Dealy Godwin and retired from the U.

S. Postal Service. He was a Marine in World War II and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Andrew, Bruce and Fred and sister, Margaret.

He is survived by his wife, Merle; daughter, Lynn Townsend and grandson, Maxwell Townsend,

both of Birmingham, AL and sister, Alice Logue of Panama City, FL.Funeral services will be Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Linda Tarver officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2-3:00 p.m. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
