Timothy Ross Mims, 53, of Maplesville died Thursday, November 14, 2013.

He was born on Friday, June 3, 1960 in Dallas Co., AL, Son of William Ross Mims and Jo Ann Perry Sims.

He was a Funeral Director. Former owner of Mims Memorial. Long time Chilton County Commissioner.

Surviving are Daughter, Perrin Mims of Maplesville, AL; Son, T.R. Mims of Maplesville, AL; Mother, Jo Ann (Gene) Sims of Maplesville, AL; Father, Ross Mims of Jones, AL; Brothers, James (Teresa) Mims of Jones, AL, Frank (Kathy) Lightsey of Millbrook, AL; Sisters, Dena Lightsey of Maplesville, AL, Jane (Harold) Moran of Plantersville, AL; Step Brother, Danny Sims of Maplesville, AL, Terry Sims of Jemison, AL; A Host of Family & Friends.

Friends will be received from 5-8, Friday, November 15, 2013 @ Maplesville Baptist Church.

Services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Maplesville Baptist Church with Rev. William Short and Rev. Lynn Roe officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist #2, Maplesville, Alabama.
