Barbara Ruth Godwin, was born in Sylcauga, Alabama. She graduated from Dallas County High School. She died on March 18, 2013.

She was preceded by mother, Edna Ruth Thornton.

She was a beloved wife to Julius C. Green; father, John Dobbs; daughters, Angie Cochran, Loretta Stevens, Kayla Allday, Heather Green, Kris Cuesta; surviving sons and sons-in-laws, Mike Green, David Meadors, and Craig Stevens; surviving sisters, Jean and Jimmy Akins, Betty Hileman, Edna and Norman McDonald; surviving brothers, Larry and Regenia Dobbs, Raymond and Faye Dobb, Jimmy Dobbs; eight beloved grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Lawrence Brown Funeral Chapel.
