I’d like to congratulate the Southside Panther basketball players and coaches for making it to the Class 3A state championship game.

To let you know, we are planning a banquet for you and we will let you know when it is. We want you to know how much we love you and appreciate you.

Your family and all of your fans are tremendously proud of you.

Hold your heads up.

I need to remind you that Southside won the area trophy, the regional trophy and came in second in the state.

I am so glad that my son, Mark Black, got a chance to play among players like Jeffery Mack, Sammarkus Jones, Octavius Gilley, Robert Sullivan and all of the team.

Congratulations to Coach (Cedric) Brown and all the coaches of Southside’s basketball team.

Hold your head up. We’re proud of you for your great season.
