Mr. Jesse L. Johnson, 65, resident of Selma, passed away February 17, 2013 at Baptist South Healthcare. Services are scheduled for February 2, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Morning Star Church officiated by Rev. B.T. Booker. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include spouse Cynthia Johnson; parent Susie J. Garrett and A.J. Walker; five sons, Jesse Johnson III, Michael (Keshia) Johnson, Tory Ellis, Undrea Robinson, and Jarvis Baldwin; two daughters, Shereka Goins and Shafunda Reese; five brothers, Clinton (Debbie) Garrett, Jerome (Carolyn) Garrett, Willie Garrett, Eddie Garrett, and Donald Garrett; seven sisters, Jean (Billy) Kidd, Earnestine Garrett, Dorothy Garrett, Mary (Joe) Woods, Amanda Sharp, Hiawartha (Barry) Ford, and Janice Garrett; childhood friends, Tommy Cobb and Johnny Bodley; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends at Georgia Pacific. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
