Mr. Osie Joe King, a resident of Selma, AL, departed this life on Sat., October 13,2012. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012, 12:30 p.m. at Morning Star Missionary Baptist church, Selma, officiated by Rev. Gary Jackson, Interment will follow in Morning Star Cemetery, Marion Junction, with Phillips-Riley Funeral Home directing.

He leaves to treasure his memories a son Darrell King; a daughter, Tomeika Sanders both of Selma, AL; three sisters, Sarah Melton, Birmingham, AL, Gary L./ (Samuel) Moten, Cleveland, OH, and Queen K. (Benjamin) Jeffrey, Wetumpka, AL; seven grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including a special friend, Vera Aaron, Selma, AL, also Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church Family, Selma, AL.

Mr. King will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
