Former assistant District Attorney Robert Clarence Roseberry

and Greensboro city judge died Saturday at DCH Regional Medical Center.

He was 54.

The Morgan County native worked for the 4th Judicial Circuit for 15 years.

“He was a great guy,” said District Attorney Michael W. Jackson.

Friends and family said Roseberry was an avid hunter and all-around sportsman.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Cynthia Lynn Taylor Roseberry; his daughter, Margaret Amanda Roseberry of Tuscaloosa; his son, Robert Breland Roseberry and his wife, Heather, of Gulf Port, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Lindsey Rae Woods and her husband, Clint, of Tuscaloosa; a stepson, Jeremy Lee Bowen of Tuscaloosa; his mother, Martha Jean Hollomon Roseberry of Greensboro and his father-in-law, Dana Taylor of Gasden.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greensboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Dee McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery with Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing.
