A Sardis woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash this week.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported Saturday that Mary Ann Clay, 26, was seriously injured when the 2000 Honda Accord she drove left the roadway and struck a concrete culvert around 5:50 pm. Wednesday. The crash occurred on Dallas County 30, approximately 15 miles south of Selma.

Clay was not using a seat belt, was injured and transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery. Clay succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.

No further details are available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
