Selma man killed in two-vehicle accident in Dallas County

A Selma man was killed in a two-vehicle crash over the weekend.

Wendell Scurlock, 70, was killed on Friday night, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. The 2005 Ford Mustang he drove was struck by a 2019 Nissan Murano driven by Linda Dodson Cruse, 70, of Valley Grande.

Scurlock was pronounced dead at the scene.  Cruse was transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma for treatment.

The crash occurred on Alabama 14 near the 112-mile marker, one mile west of Selma city limits around 5:55 p.m. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
