Law enforcement agencies arrest several in Wilcox County drug sting

Five law enforcement agencies arrested several suspects in a drug raid last week in Wilcox County.

The Camden Police Department along with the Wilcox County Sheriff’s Department, the Fourth Judicial Circuit Task Force and the 17th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant and executed several arrest warrants in Camden, according to Fourth Judicial District Attorney Michael Jackson.

A search warrant was executed on 1678 Clifton Street in Camden at the residence of Cordreck Thompson. Recovered during this search was Cocaine, U.S. currency and Ammunition.  Agents also executed other warrants and confiscated Crack Cocaine, Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, Weapons and Money during the operation.

Jessica Collins, John Hicks, Travis Dukes, Terry Dukes, Kendrick Higgenbottom, Jeremiah Jackson, Terrance Powell, Roderck Rogers, Tori Tolar, Fredrck Westry and Matthew Jones were all arrested with Thompson. Their charges range from possession of marijuana to unlawful distribution of controlled substance.

“Citizens started calling me months ago and complaining about the drug deals going on Wilcox County,” Jackson said. “We decided to get these drug dealers off the streets.”
