Two Selma suspects charged with two counts of shooting into occupied area

Two Selma residents received a $1 million bond each for two counts of shooting into an occupied building at the end of 2019.

According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, Kendrick Perkins and Joshua Benford are charged with shooting into an occupied building and shooting into an occupied vehicle on Caisson Street in West Selma.

Benford and Perkins each received a $1 million bond on Thursday in the Dallas County Courthouse. Dallas County District Court Judge Bob Armstrong set the bond.

Benford, 21, and Perkins, 20, were both arrested by the Selma Police Department on Tuesday around 5:45 p.m. They are both currently in the Dallas County Jail.

Jackson said the preliminary hearing for both Benford and Perkins is scheduled for Feb. 4 at 1:30 p.m.
