The 7th Annual Get Fit Selma! is on the schedule for Saturday, Sept. 28.

According to their Facebook page, the group has confirmation that Ellen McKnight, Double Dutch Aerobics and BOSS Youth League will be at this year’s event.

In the seventh year, the Get Fit Selma! event is a great way to re-focus on our health.

With all of the valuable resources available at the event, there is no excuse to now know how to get your health on track.

McKnight is the Founder and Principal of the Maxine Firm, a nutrition and wellness firm powered by a network of healthcare professionals, according to the McRae-Gaines Learning Center’s website.

“Preventing chronic diseases directly related to nutrition practices is the firm’s primary objective,” the site continues.  “Their program helps facilitate the implementation of healthy lifestyle changes. Their services build supportive infrastructures that provide their clientele with the tools needed to achieve their personal nutrition and wellness goals.”

The event will also once again feature the Alabama Chapter of the NFL Players’ Association (NFLPA), which is the union for professional football players in the National Football League (NFL). Established in 1956, the NFLPA assists with charitable and community organizations within the players’ states and cities.

Just like last year, Get Fit Selma! has asked the organization to share their stories about health and wellness as elite athletes and the challenges to their physical health playing professional football as well as the rewards.

There is a plethora of information that can be utilized at this year’s Get Fit Selma! We hope that all will take advantage of it.
