From its inception in 1952 and continuing today, the Foundation supports non-profit organizations within the communities where International Paper has operating facilities.

International Paper gives back to communities through corporate donations, in-kind contributions, employee volunteerism and Foundation grants to provide more than $10 million to support hundreds of community based educational, civic and cultural programs.

The Foundation’s two primary focus areas are environmental education and literacy.

The IP Foundation provides grants to nonprofit charitable organizations classified under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Service Code.

Organizations must be classified as public charities under Internal Revenue Code section 509(a)(1), (2) or (3), or exempt operating foundations.

International Paper Foundation does not support private foundations. In addition, certain municipal, county, state and federal entities are eligible, such as school districts and fire departments.

“As Dallas County’s largest employer, the International Paper Riverdale Mill is dedicated to making a difference in the community and supporting the many organizations that work tirelessly to make this area a better place to live and work – now and for the future, said Laura Gipson Clark, IP Riverdale Mill communications manager.

Non-profit agencies and schools are strongly encouraged to apply. For more information, including funding guidelines and restrictions, or to submit an application, visit www.ipgiving.com.
