Selma High School teacher indicted

LaTanglia Williams, former health teacher at Selma High School, was arrested April 19 for allegedly having sexual relations with two students. Williams was indicted Wednesday on three felonies and one misdemeanor charge.
Selma High School teacher LaTanglia Williams, 36, was indicted by a Dallas County Grand Jury Wednesday on three felonies and one misdemeanor charge.
The felonies include possession of obscene matter, electronic solicitation of a child and school employee having sexual contact with a student under the age of 19. The misdemeanor charge is enticing a child for immoral purposes.
Williams was arrested Friday, April 19 for alleged inappropriate criminal behavior with more than one student. She was taken to the Dallas County Jail that evening and held under a $1,006,000 bond.
After a hearing with District Judge Bob Armstrong Tuesday, April 23, Williams’ bond was reduced to a consolidated $100,000. With no criminal history, Armstrong placed her under a monitored probation, and she was ordered to stay off school premises.
Williams taught health at Selma High School.
District Attorney Michael Jackson said Williams will be arraigned in circuit court within the next few months and then a trial date will be set.
