Suzan Singleton Coats Boschetto, beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024. She was 86 years old. Suzan’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and unwavering support for her family and friends.

Suzan was born near Orrville, Alabama on September 29^th, 1937. She was the fourth child of Glover and Bonnie Singleton. She is predeceased by her son, David Scott Coats, DMD (Sheri) and survived by her two daughters: Leslie Coats Stevens, MD (Brooke) and Julie Coats Upshaw, ESQ (John), and her older sister Nelda Jackson. She is also survived by 5 loving grandchildren: Abigail (Martin), Mason and Jake Upshaw, Ethan and Emily Coats and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Suzan graduated from Orrville High School in 1955 and went on to attend The University of Alabama and Valdosta State University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1975.

Suzan will be remembered for her love of God and in her nursing career as a leader and fierce advocate for patient care. She was an avid competitive bridge player, ballroom dancer, and golfer.  She loved the outdoors, especially shell collecting and hiking and shared that joy with all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by all. Her beloved charities were Samaritan’s Purse and Heifer International Charitable Organization.
