Meadowview Christian School, Southside eliminated from baseball playoffs

Meadowview Christian School, John T. Morgan Academy and Southside were the only Dallas County High School baseball teams to make the state playoffs.
Morgan Academy plays at top-seeded Glenwood Academy in the AISA Class 3A regional tournament at 4 p.m. Thursday. The Senators finished the regular season ranked 10th in the Alabama Sportswriters Association baseball poll, while the Gators were ranked number one.
Southside was swept by Excel in their best-of-3 Class 3A first-round playoff series on April 19. The Panthers lost 2-0 and 15-0. The second game ended because of the 10-run mercy rule.
Excel faces Prattville Christian Academy in the second round.
Escambia Academy swept the Trojans 13-2 and 12-0 AISA Class 1A regional tournament on April 19 in Canoe. Both games ended early because of the 10-run mercy rule.
The Cougars advanced to play Heritage Academy in the second round.
