Perkins said the eyecare center is one of many great things happening in Selma.

The Eyecare Center is in the Ward 2 district of Selma City Councilwoman Christie Thomas. Lovingood is her Optometrist.

“I am delighted and grateful to welcome my optometrist to our local area,” Thomas said. “Having such professionalism nearby eliminates the need to travel to another city, enhancing convenience for our community. Businesses like Dr. Lovinggood’s are vital to our community’s foundation, and supporting them means bolstering our neighbors, friends, and family. Dr. Lovinggood exemplifies compassion, humility, and dedication in her work, taking immense pride in the eye care she offers to her patients.”

At the grand opening, Lovinggood was also surrounded by family and friends, Selma Mayor James Perkins Jr., Dallas County Probate Judge Jimmy Nunn, Thomas and Dallas County Commissioner Vivian Rogers,
